“This network isn’t giving me work. I’m off!”
I was talking with someone last week who was upset that the network she was a member of, was not providing work. The network therefore wasn’t working for her, and she was going to leave. Wrong attitude was my thought. And a wrong basis for her attitude.
Customers or clients will only work with you if you do one of two things.
Either
Furthermore, if you can do one of the above two … KLT comes into play. They need to know, like and trust you.
Whichever network you are a member of … it can only provide the K of KLT. It can help its members to KNOW who you are. It can provide an environment for you to meet people – either in person or virtually – and thus they can get to know who you are. The rest is then up to you.
Your network cannot make its members like you.
Your network cannot make its members trust you.
Your network cannot solve the problem or provide the result.
It’s not the job of your network to give you work. YOU need to communicate with other members, so they can get to know you. YOU need to communicate in such a way that other members grow to like you … and eventually, trust you. And when the time is right, those other members may approach you and buy from you.
For the network to ‘work’ for you … YOU need to work at it … in a likeable and trustworthy way.
Do you agree?
An Invitation For YOU
Business is all about people. In particular, people who know us and know what we do. So, if you want to expand your business - expand the number of people who know you and what you do.
There's an easy way to do that ... networking.
And these days there's a really efficient way to network ... online networking.
Online cuts out the travelling to a physical meeting ... and the parking and other costs which go with that travelling. It's super efficient cost-wise and time-wise.
Where's the best place to do online networking? In my opinion, ONLE Networking. Not only is it efficient ... it's also filled with quality people ... people who do what you should do when you're networking.
So, why not give it a try, for free. Just buzz over to https://theonle.network/youve-been-invited-to-onle and book a visit to any of the meetings across the UK ... or the USA. No charge. No obligation (other than to turn up and participate).
When booking, remember to say Bernie sent you. Thanks.
(And no ... I'm not on commission ... nor affiliated ... nor connected in any way, other than a paid-up member who’s found ONLE really supportive.)
